Won and I went to Oshkosh Riverside FVTC campus. They are going to build a bigger facility nearer the highway and move in (?) 2015? Met John Renk. Had good talk with John McDonald, but someone was concerned about a religious group using the cafeteria so we didn't recruit anyone.
Tues
Coordinators. Missed because I took Ransom to Wings
Wed.
Transitions (Drew, Allison, Hailey, Kelsi, Colin, Sarah?). Talked about handling disappointments. E.g. job, colleagues, etc. Alan talked about not having faith in institutions. Expectations. Realization that institutions are not always humane.
Thurs
LGT, Bob is going to give graduating seniors until next Wed. to let him know if they would like to speak and if times don't work. Emily will bring calendar. We need a list of who has spoken this term.
FVTC: a lot of tears today. A sharing and prayer day rather than Bible study. Dariela, Andrea, Stacie, Aquilino, Katelyn, Won, Rob, Deb. Rob and I talked about some longer term strategy (not duplicating efforts). PHoned Rob about getting together with Moi too. Tomorrow won't work.
Look at notes for party time.
OCOP we looked at IV mission statement, Mat. 28, Acts 1, discussed meaning of witnessing communities, being missional vs. not, being multi-ethnic, Didn't get to the four loves verses, but did discuss.
Fri.
Rob will take OCOP FVTC tomorrow. Faith sharing.
Friday lunch discussion: Kevin OT names. Confusing things that happen at church, then discussion on mega church worship (being deliberate in thinking through why).
IDEA: proxe station (Kate) for early next term: what questions do you have about Christianity/Jesus. Maybe use for LG talks, Friday lunch discussions, and web site blogs
