Mtg Maureen
-- Logo. Cory Berkbigler asking "what can we retire on the website?"
Greta (?) did our old logo but I think she isn't with IV anymore.
Caroline is working on some graphics for FM. See Teams correspondence & file sharing.
2100 didn't want to give out vector art (another 2100 stiff arm), but Maureen wants to know how they plan on contextualizing. That's why she asked Caroline to come up with something (she had design background).
We haven't lost our logo yet. They are mostly working on the website look.
-- budget deficit. I'm actually in pretty good shape. Get expense reports in. Raise another $1400 by end of year.
-- 771802 NM office expense -- expense everything for NAIITS at NM office
Mtg Caroline re: ONS (I lost these notes when I needed to prep ONS, alas)

victoria.mejia@intervarsity.org LaFe. I think Caroline said Victoria is part Native and was doing the Latino breakout. Emailed her 2018-06-27
Have some random note about CSI Orthdox denomination. Indian on board.
Mtg Jen Hollingsworth re logo debacle
Roll out of logo with FM (focus ministries) didn't go well
PMO program management dept. -- Jen is change management.
Joe Ho is VP FM, and didn't have much space to prep directors
2100 (Adam Jeske VP, actually called Communications and Marketing) would like to use word-marks for FM and perhaps photos rather than a graphical logo.
Mtg Justin Webber AD ND. See personal notes in gcon.

Part of e-mail I DIDN'T include to Adam Jeske
here are some questions I have if you would like to read more. Probably others are asking similar things, so I’m fine waiting on further group communication.
I think it would help if I had a better understanding of some terms/implications in your email.
What does “visual communications architecture” mean beyond logo and color scheme? For example, I found the Urbana style guide very helpful and easy to work with when I did NM design work for the last Urbana. If it means that sort of thing, then I get it.
In what sense are we too silo-ed internally? Does this process involve combining resource libraries or sites with other focus ministries?
Should we have a transition strategy for NM? I could, for example, host new NM resources on an L&P area domain while the whole Drupal thing sorts out (it would be a lot of work to go through and redo the meta-data required for each upload on Drupal if it will be ultimately reconfigured).
The question of flexibility is an urgent one in our context, because we see a big part of our mission to empower expression and Christian “culture-building” among Native staff and students whose unique contribution has long been suppressed or de-valued.
Sorry for the long email. Since I’m new to my national role I am not seeing the points in which our communication has been ineffective or in need of acceleration (i.e. since I don’t know what problems we are fixing so I don’t understand the solution). That’s not to say I haven’t had an occasional gripe with the website or wish we had easier ways to communicate with other staff (actually, I’m really liking MS Teams and wish that had come along a decade ago). We have always been very stimulated by 2100 design work – the main thing I’ve pestered the NSC about over the years is access to artwork elements and vector art images, font names, etc., because my students generally wanted to customize things like proxe stations to our campus situation, add the chapter name to some design, convert it to a t-shirt design or some such. It would be wonderful if a (shared to staff) directory of vector and high-res design elements for each project were a regular part of the design cycle.

Megan sent Indian Country Today facebook page link, which I "followed" if that is the correct thing to do.
Sent Lou an interesting looking book to read,
