To Richard Ackley:
Hi all,
The NAIITS conference (North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies) runs Thurs. 6/7 through Sat 6/9 (Thurs. and Sunday travel days unless you want to fly Sat. night).
Info. is here.
The cost is $250 (includes 6 meals) plus your travel. Dorm style housing is usually very reasonable, esp. if you share a room.
We save $100 if we can get a group of 4.
NAIITS has often figured in our Native Ministries strategy as a place to connect with Christian Native leaders (and each other) and for learning. Several NAIITS professors have been key mentors for us. We would love to continue to use it this way to build up IV staff as well as volunteer mentors for Native Ministries.
This year our participation will be more low key, and (unfortunately) we don't have money from the national office to offset costs, but IV staff should be able to expense from personal ministry budgets pending supervisor approval.
Let me know if you are interested or know of others who are interested so we can get the group rate.
Skʌnʌ,
Tim
