Doug's reflection: Igen is a boon for us, bcs we are usually on the vanguard contextualizing. (Joseph) 7 plentiful years, lean years are coming. No one is going to get out in front of us.
Pray for turn in conversions, staff conference, contextualizing
Doug on ELT (Evangelism leadership team) with Sean Young, combining evangelism and planting.

Staff conference is rolling out "adopt a campus"

Breakout
Carrie Moorhead - dad passing away, at mom's home. AD Central & Eastern NY. losing a bunch of staff.
JNSO case study. Do staff not make great decisions because they don't know what to do? Do this/this many hours (simple things, prep students, 6 week task list).

Christmas party - call to faith. Read Christmas story, transition to gift Jesus brings of salvation. Many of our conversations feel abrupt.

"marketing" for ideas needs to be part of the plan (not just making a proxe)
[Gen Z -- some analysis that promotes the idea]

Homework. Best practices for contact cards? Best use of proxe stations? Who is using them, how, what success, what are they learning?
How do we combine good fun and NSO? combine w/ evangelism.
Smiley, started with cahoot (sp?) at LG, ended w/ altar call
in it to win it game.
Social immaturity, a little bit of structure helps people connect
Carrie Moorehead. Went from 1000 to 60 contact cards, so they had no way to follow up. Who were the NSO superstar students? Asked for 4 names, 3 said yes to doing something with Carrie (ended up with 5). Did two things in a student-heavy space. Train exploriing faith 5T survey. then a bonding activity immediately in the area. Some of them had holy discontent, so were eager to use a new tool. Role play the script. Use the actual script. Did some peer coaching, each had an AD. 20-30 minutes. Game in motion. Lots of good stories. Immediacy of fun. "Come hang out with me" less risky.
[combine playing "cards against colonization" with Columbus proxe. ] Sending them out for a short time worked well -- just start with 20-30 minutes.
Doug, more like jazz. Some people want scripts, they want the notes printed out. Which is it? yes
See picture.
1. word. winsome invitations
2. community, Small groups too much , be fun
3. learn, improve events (more improv)
4. word, cult -- MISSED the second loop -- see capture.

Where is evangelism working? What's going well, what do we need to improve on.
Overcoming barriers of
-fear & caution
- contextualization fear? will the top know our situation?
Gen Z patterns
- high value for individual mental health sensitivity, hard to be courageous, more pastoring through fear
- embrace of self-care, safe spaces - inviting people into that bigger than risk, more risk-averse
- not fans of proxes these days, suspicious of top-down. But they will self-create
- concerned about getting things right.
- more d1 & d2 coaching, getting to 3 or 4 takes longer.
group in Africa (country? Ethopia) 5 categories. Huge chapters. Calling at center, students students students, discipleship, evangelism, SGs. Go make it up, pray, be creative, I don't care how you do it. Simple focused empowered leadership.
