MPD coaching call notes
stewardship content/senior content --
8 part
get a number for how many 2016 alumni are giving into account
Key lever to seeing alumni give is follow up. It doesn't seem to matter the medium of the follow-up (FB, text, email, phone calls). Persistent follow-up month after month is leading to giving. Staff who are relentless "are you ready to give" reminders are producing donors.
Non-MPD touches -- we don't need all that many non-MPD touches as we think we need.
"I want to catch up to you but also invite you into partnership" -- all in one contact.
"Would you like to give back to the ministry to make sure it thrives?"
Follow up with parents, but don't stalk them like we stalk alumni -- just one or two tries. A couple of voice mails with my phone number is fine.
FUP CALL: I wanted to follow up with my letter, see if you have any questions, would you like to partner? If they are local, an appointment would be great.
Senior programming.
This is really key. Be intentional. Include an ask and a class gift ask. Strengthen a class identity.
Monthly evening over dinner meeting where you talk about a transition topic OR retreat.
Ryan loves the monthly thing (ministry partner hosts for dinner at their house, a different partner every month to spread the wealth around, one Friday a month).
Buy them a book
After College read a chapter each time (3-4 meetings, community work relationships money)
One year they did Radical by David Platt (sp?) -- challenges at end work well, but appeal most to conservative.
Free by Mark Skinderack (sp?) spend yourself on what matters most.
Exit interview first, prep them for the group ask.
Recommend exit interview AND a group ask.
Thank yous to chapter account:
- students,
- personal
- card
- etc.
